Police Officer Position

SALEM CITY is now accepting applications for employment as a Police Officer at the Salem City Office, 30 West 100 South, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and on Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Applications will be accepted until June 6, 2012.

This position reports directly to the Salem City Chief of Police. The candidate needs to be Utah Peace Officer Standard and Training (POST) certified or certifiable as a Category I Peace Officer. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of Police practices and be willing to dedicate his or herself to public service in a progressive rural community. The salary is somewhat negotiable depending on previous experience and demonstrated ability. (EOE)
